Rooted Together: Healing in Community
Mental Health Support for Immigrant, Undocumented & Mixed-Status Communities
Offered by the Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance (IUYA)
About the Program:
Rooted Together is a community-based mental health program created to support immigrant, undocumented, and mixed-status youth and families as they navigate grief, emotional well-being, and the long-term effects of systemic oppression.
Grounded in cultural relevance and lived experience, this program offers healing spaces that center community, trust, and collective care. Whether you’re looking forsupport, connection, or resources—there’s a place for you here.
What we Offer:
Support Circles
Small, closed groups where participants can share their stories, process grief, and engage in healing practices. Led by trusted facilitators, these groups offer safety, peer support, and opportunities to explore mental health topics without judgment.
Community Wellness Events
Monthly events open to the broader community, featuring activities like sound bowl healing, nature walks, potlucks, and themed discussions focused on emotional well-being.
Resource Connections
Access to mental health evaluations, therapy, and culturally rooted support through IUYA’s extended network. We meet people where they are—offering multiple ways to engage, not a one-size-fits-all model.
