We’re Thrilled to Announce Our New Grant from the WES Mariam Assefa Fund
We are excited to share some fantastic news with our community, partners, and supporters: Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance(IUYA) has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the WES Mariam Assefa Fund! This funding will support operational costs and the mentoring program, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to make an even bigger impact.
Why This Matters
At IUYA, we are committed to empowering undocumented people in Indiana through community building and support services. With this generous grant from the WES Mariam Assefa Fund, we can continue to expand the mentoring program and invest in new technology to support our work.
This grant will enable us to:
- Improve our operations to better serve our community.
- Hire someone part-time to dedicate more time to the Social Justice Mentoring Program.
- Continue improving existing events such as Breakfast with Santa.
The Impact of This Grant
With these additional resources, we can reach more youth for our program and allow us to communicate with you all more in-depth about programming to keep you updated with the work we are doing. This funding will ensure that we continue to make a positive impact, helping undocumented people to have autonomy over their lives and equitable access in Indiana by improving and expanding our current programs.
